SPEAKING IN PETALS
CREATIVE PRODUCTION: PHOTOGRAPHY
MVDM STUDENT WORK
IE BUSINESS SCHOOL
Speaking in Petals was a challenging project that tells the story of friendship, love, loss, and guilt.

THE BRIEF: Create a compelling story using 5-10 original photographs.

THE PROCESS: First, I presented my research in photography treatment format about the meanings of flowers and the significance of their
'language'. I then planned my photoshoot by selecting my models, settings, and props. Since I was working with fresh flowers, I had to plan the photoshoot well in advance and could not afford a significant delay. Luckily, it all went to plan and I managed to capture the photos I had envisioned from the start.

THE RESULT: Each photo represents an emotion, which represents each flower's meaning. The story is linear, as each photo placed in a certain order tells the whole story, while a singular photo tells a story in itself as well.

The project culminated in a photography exhibition.
