I'm proud to share that my short story, 'The Shot', has won the third prize in the IE Foundation's Prize in the Humanities within the Student and Alumni English language category.

Writing, particularly creative writing, has always been an important outlet for me. In third grade, when I was eight years old, I won my first writing competition at school for my poem, 'Autumn Is...'. It was not only an exciting experience to be praised for something I had written and created from my imagination, but it also gave me further motivation to pursue writing and the art of storytelling.

Fast forward to today, and I've recently completed an invaluable Master's degree at IE Business School which has further enforced the importance of storytelling and the myriad of fascinating techniques that storytellers have at their disposal, whether it be for marketing and advertising, entertainment, or the continuation of cultural traditions and education.

Thank you to the IE Foundation for this incredible opportunity and for the acknowledgment and recognition of my work.

You may read my winning entry below as published in the official 2022 IE Foundation Prizes in the Humanities book.
